Meeting 'away-day' at Claverham

Clevedon Meeting had a memorable away-day at the historic Claverham Meeting House (www.claverhammeetinghouse.org.uk). I the morning we looked at patterns of pastoral care in our meeting. The afternoon session was led by Quaker poet Stevie Krayer, whose publications include 'Voices from a Burning Boat' and 'Questioning the comet' as well as a recently published anthology of Quaker poetry compiled in collaboration with Rosie Bailey. We were joined by some other members of Area Meeting for and enjoyable shared lunch before listening to poetry readings and commentary from Stevie, which led to some deep sharing and readings by Friends present.
