300 years of Quaker non-violent direct action were brought to life by the Journeyman Theatre (Lynn and Dave Morris). Episodes in the lives Quakers from the time of slavery in the 18th century to those involved in direct action today depicted the dilemmas, the personal costs and the spiritual basis of following the promptings of truth and light. This was an inspiring and thought provoking production from the Journeymen Theatre.
Backdoor Parole
We welcomed Journeymen Theatre again 2022 with their powerful production depicting life and thoughts of elderly prisoners for whom death would be the only prospect of release with vivid exchanges with a relatively new Quaker Prison Chaplain struggling to balance her faith and the realities of life in the prison.
